Main Duties
All Supporting Invigilators are responsible for facilitating the smooth running of examinations and are responsible to the Senior Invigilator.
Main duties include:
- Working as part of a team to prepare the examination venue to ensure that all exainations start promptly. This will include laying out examination attendance slips, answer books, question papers, and any other necessary materials according to a seating plan.
- Working as part of a team to invigilate the exam. This will include the checking and reconciliation of attendance slips, conducting random checks of student ID, accompanying students to the toilet, and handing out any additional examination materials that are needed. This may also include dealing with any examination incidents or irregularities that arise.
- Working as part of a team to collate examination answer booklets and other materials at the end of the exam in a timely, accurate, and efficient way.

- Previous experience of working in an educational setting

- The ability to work independently but also the judgment to seek advice when necessary
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to deal with challenging situations in a sensitive, yet firm manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent reliability
Rate of pay
Rate of pay is £11.87 per hour (excluding holiday pay) for 2023/24
