What is the difference between a scholarship and a bursary?
A scholarship is a means of non-repayable support, usually financial, that is awarded based on the individual assessment of predetermined criteria – a scholarship will focus on recognising and rewarding your academic achievement(s).
A bursary or grant is a means of non-repayable monetary support designed to assist students who meet specific financial eligibility criteria. The term bursary is interchangeable with the term grant.
