Location

Dates
Monday 30 October 2023 (14:00-16:00)

We are excited to announce our upcoming event Atkins: From Academia to Industry. The event is designed to provide STEM PGRs with the unique opportunity to hear from five industry professionals with doctorates in Civil Engineering, Maths, Railway Systems, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronic and Electrical Engineering, who now work for a leading global engineering consultancy.

Discover more about their role in Atkins, their research degrees, how they draw on transferable skills, key differences working in academia and industry, and how to tailor job applications to industry roles.

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A.

This event is likely to be of interest to STEM PGRs who want further insights into transitioning from academia to industry, pursuing a career in an engineering and project management consultancy, and how a STEM research degree equips PGRs with unique skills to work in industry.

Join us from 2-4pm on Monday 30th October 2023 in Alan Walters G11. Please register your attendance.
