How do I apply for support with the Student Disability Service?

To access support from our Student Disability Service you will need to apply for a Reasonable Adjustment Plan.

It's important that you do this as soon as possible so that we can discuss your requirements with you and ensure support and adjustments are in place for you when you need them. Please note that there may be deadlines for receiving applications for exam adjustments; please see more information on our Disability Service webpages. You will also need to provide us with some evidence about your disability, learning support needs, mental health or long-term health conditions which includes details of the duration or expected duration of your condition or a clear diagnosis. Appointment letters, prescriptions or JCQ Form 8 are not adequate. If you are unsure whether the documents you already have are suitable, please attach these to your application for support for us to review and advise you further.

Once you have fully registered with us, you will be allocated to a Disability Advisor who will contact you directly. If you have any further questions, please email us at disability@contacts.bham.ac.uk.
