What is DLA and is it the same as DSA?

Disability Living Allowance (DLA, to be replaced by Personal Independence Payment, PIP) helps people aged between 16 and 64 with some of the extra costs associated with a disability.

This is different to Disabled Student’s Allowances as DSAs do not cover the disability-related costs you would have if you were not attending a higher education course. DLA/PIP might fund, for example, personal care and mobility assistance. For more information, see the government's PIP website.
