How much funding do I need to meet the visa requirements for a Student Route Visa application?
You will need to evidence:
- Your full tuition fees for the first year of your course minus any amount paid towards your first year fees. You should check your CAS statement which will state the outstanding amount of fees to be evidenced as a part of your Student visa application.
- Plus an amount for living costs which is £1171 per month for a maximum period of 9 (nine) months, giving a total of £10,539.
If you have paid to stay in University of Birmingham accommodation you can deduct a maximum of £1529 from your total living costs. If this amount is not shown on your CAS, you will need to submit an official University of Birmingham receipt as a part of your student visa application.
