Membership of the Guild of Students
As a registered student at the University of Birmingham you automatically become a member of the Guild of Students (The Guild) unless you choose to opt out. As the Guild is a charitable company you agree to become a company law member of The Guild. You can view the Articles of Association of the Guild. The University will share your details with The Guild and they will use that information for the purpose of running the Guild and keeping you informed of its activities. The Guild may also send you marketing materials that The Guild considers to be of interest to you.
Any student wishing to exercise his / her right not to be a member of the Guild of Students can opt out of membership.
Please refer to section 6 in the 'Code of Practice pursuant to the requirements of the Education Act 1994' (PDF -1.8MKB) for more information about the Guilds membership benefits and how to exercise your right to opt out.
