What happens if I did not use the University of Birmingham ACL code when applying for my visa?

If you are applying for a visa from outside of the UK to come to the UK for 6 months or more, and you did not use the ACL code (2HE322), your BRP will be sent to a designated Post Office.

Your UKVI decision letter will tell you which post office you will need to collect your BRP card from and when it will be available to collect.

We recommend using the ACL code to have your BRP card sent to the University of Birmingham; this may be more convenient as students have experienced long queues collecting their cards from a Post Office. It is not possible to change your collection location to the University of Birmingham once you have made your visa application.

Please remember to take your UKVI decision letter and your passport when you go to the post office to collect your BRP. If you have any dependents, you must also take their UKVI decision letters and passports.
