Why did I not receive a text message about a cancelled teaching event?
The University is currently only trialling this across a few programmes. Only students on these programmes where the Online Registration Personal Details page 'Mobile Phone Number or preferred phone contact' is a single number that can be recognised as a UK mobile number or an international number (starting + or ‘00’) will receive text alerts for cancelled teaching events.
A text alert will only be sent when the cancellation is within the next 24 hours. When the cancellation is later than this then it will be communicated via the usual channels.
