What if I do not want to attend a Degree Congregation?

You will receive an email from the Graduation Team in September (if graduating in December) or February (if graduating in July) asking you to confirm your graduation preference by logging into the Student Gateway. After you log in you will find the link to 'Reply to Degree Congregation invitation' under the 'Exams and Assessment' heading. Select the option stating that you would like to graduate in your absence and have your certificate and transcript posted to you by 23:59 (GMT) on 15 October (if graduating in December) or 20 March (if graduating in July).

Please note that if you would like to collect your certificate and transcript in person, rather than having them posted to you, you must log into the Student Gateway to confirm that you would like to graduate in absentia by 23:59 (GMT) on 15 October (if graduating in December) or 20 March (if graduating in July). We will then contact all students via email at the beginning of December (if graduating in December) or July (if graduating in July) to confirm when and where you can collect your certificate and transcript.
