How do I track my leave of absence request?
When you submit your request, you will receive an email notification confirming that your application has been received. This will contain a case number and PIN that you can use to track the progress of your request all the way through to your return to studies.
The status of your request will be one of the following:
- Leave of Absence Application Submitted: this means that the application has been submitted but has not been assigned to a reviewer
- Application in progress: this means that the application is being processed and is working its way through the approval process
- Additional information required: this means that the application has been returned to the student to request additional information
- Approved: this means that the application has been approved and LOA will commence on the LOA start date
- Rejected: this means that the application has not been approved
- On leave of absence: this means that LOA has started and student is on leave of absence
- Return application submitted: this means that the return application has been submitted but has not been assigned to a reviewer
- Return application in progress: this means that the application is being processed and is working its way through the approval process
- Return - additional information required: this means that the application has been returned to the student to request additional information
- Return approved: this means that the application has been approved and the student will return to their studies on their return date
- Return rejected: this means that the application has not been approved. The student can contact their Wellbeing Team for support
- Closed: this means that the LOA end date has passed and the student has not advised they wish to return to their studies. They will be assumed to have withdrawn from their studies 6 weeks after their return date has passed.
