I was told I will have alternative assessments, but I see assignments due in January (1st semester)?
I hope you're well.
I just wanted to clarify whether the assessments due in January are in-person exams or remote submissions.
If they are remote submissions, such as coursework, essays, or other online tasks you can complete and upload them from your home country. They’re scheduled for January to ensure you have the same timeframe as other students, but you're welcome to submit them earlier if you prefer.
If they are in-person exams, then yes, you're right to raise this. As a [X] School student, you shouldn't have in-person exams in January. Alternative assessments should be arranged instead. These might take the form of remote submissions or, if an exam is required, something you complete before leaving campus.
I’d recommend discussing this with your personal academic tutor, who can help ensure the appropriate arrangements are in place.
