How do I enter a term-time address that is the same as my home address?

Using Home address as your Term-time address

• After you have entered your home address and the ‘Valid from’ and ‘Valid Until date’, click into the check box ‘Use my Home address as my Term-time address’. This check box is located towards the end of the Home address page.
• When the ‘Use my Home address as my Term time address’ check box is selected, the Term-time accommodation type drop box appears.
• You must indicate your Term-time accommodation type by selection an option from the drop-down menu. Note, this is a mandatory field and the drop-down menu options available here are:
  • University owned property
  • Parental/guardian home
  • Other
  • Not known
  • Own permanent home (owned/rented)
  • Other rented accommodation (not permanent)
  • Private-sector halls

Term address valid until date: From the date picker, select a date that the term-time address is valid until. This must be a future date.

• Save your entry by clicking ‘Save’. Your term-time address details will be visible under the Term-time addresses panel on the Address details page.
• Note: Students should not enter the University of Birmingham (B15 2TT) as their address except in exceptional circumstances.
• Note: After completing Online Registration, you can add a new address via My Details.
