If you are unhappy with your current programme of study, it may be possible to transfer to a more suitable programme of study.
The decision should not be taken lightly, and it is essential that you understand the implications that this may have for your chosen career path. Help and advice is available from:
Before you apply Checklist

Have you discussed your plans with your School / supervisor / employer?
We would strongly advise that you check with your School / supervisor /employer before applying for a programme transfer, to ensure that the transfer is possible and that you meet the academic criteria and requirements for the new programme.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Students
You should discuss your options with your personal tutor and then speak to the Admissions Tutor for the School you wish to join.
Degree Apprenticeship Students
Ensure you seek advice from your Personal Tutor/Supervisor in your School and your Employer before speaking to the Admissions Tutor for the programme to which you wish to transfer.
Postgraduate Research Students
You are strongly advised to discuss your options with your supervisors at the earliest opportunity.

Do you understand the Visa implications of your programme transfer?
Read through the Visa Implications section of this page to ensure you understand how a programme transfer will affect your Visa, and whether you will require an ATAS certificate for your new programme. Please see our ATAS pages for further information. If you require an ATAS certificate for your new programme, you will not be able to submit your application without this.
