The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has a subscription agreement with the University of Birmingham. Under this agreement, authors are permitted to self-archive their Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) into Pure.
This agreement covers all IEEE hybrid journal titles and is fully compliant with funder open access policies.
Please note: this agreement permits self-archiving the AAM only and not the payment of article processing charges.
Eligibility criteria
All authors can self-archive their AAM to Pure:
- immediately on acceptance (no embargo needed)
- under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence
- without the need to seek permission from the publisher

On acceptance, remember to create a record in Pure, deposit the AAM and link to any funding acknowledged on the paper.
