Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS) has an open access publishing agreement with the University of Birmingham ending on 31 December 2023. It allows UoB affiliated corresponding authors (subject to eligibility criteria listed below) to publish open access at no additional cost.
Unfortunately the publisher has not extended this agreement beyond 2023. If you are planning on publishing with this journal from 1 January 2024 please contact openaccesspublications@contacts.bham.ac.uk prior to submitting to the journal to discuss your options.
Eligibility criteria
- This agreement covers research articles accepted for publication in PNAS from 1 July 2021 - 31 December 2023.
- The agreement is only available for the following article types:
- The corresponding author must be affiliated to the University of Birmingham, and ensure their @bham.ac.uk email address is used on submission to the journal.
- The corresponding author should choose a "CC BY license" to qualify for this agreement.
- Any additional page, colour or other charges will not be covered through this agreement or the open access budget.
