Getting started with CV Checker

Follow the steps below to get started:

1. Go to CV Checker.
2. Register using your University email address. If you are a recent graduate, please register using your alumni email address. 
3. Upload your CV and cover letter to get instant feedback.
4. Incorporate the feedback and re-upload. 
5. Take a look at our other CV support to tailor your CV to your chosen job.

• You can also get written advice on how to tailor your CV or cover letter to a specific role by sending your documents to careersenquiries@contacts.bham.ac.uk. 

CV Checking Tool in Careers Connect 

We also offer the ability to check your CV in Careers Connect. Please note, you are limited to 5 uploads per year. Follow the below steps to access the CV Checker and other tools in Careers Connect:

1. Log into Careers Connect
2. Click 'AI Careers Tools' from menu at top of the page
3. Select CV Review and click ‘Get Started’
4. Upload your CV
5. Work through the feedback suggested
