As an Arts and Humanities PhD, your career options are by no means restricted to jobs within your academic subject.

Join us for a discussion with a range of different employers of Arts & Humanities PhDs to find out more about what these employers value about your skills and background, how your qualities can map across to different career areas, and how to communicate this effectively when applying for jobs.

Panellists include:

  • Dr Rachel Middlemass: Head of Research and Development Partnerships, Zinc
  • Dr Stephen Hills: Research & Development Fellow, Zinc
  • Margaret Bartley: Editorial Director for Classics, Drama and Performance and Literary Studies, Bloomsbury Publishing PLC
  • Kathryn Steenson: Archivist (Academic and Public Engagement), University of Nottingham

The event is designed to help you:

  • Identify what employers look for when hiring new people
  • Recognise what you have to offer employers beyond academia
  • Articulate your skills effectively to potential employers
  • Get tips on the careers services open to PGRs and the support that you can access

A Zoom attendance link will be sent to you on registration, and in a reminder email prior to the event.
