PGR Careers Workshop: Sourcing the Right Experience for You

We are excited to announce our new workshop ‘Sourcing the Right Experience for You’. This workshop is designed to give Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs) an opportunity to learn about skills employers are looking for, to reflect on skills they already possess, and to identify areas for development.

PGRs will learn and share tips on how to find external experience (including internships, work experience, and mentoring) in order to develop these skills. Additionally, PGRs can get advice on how to speak to their supervisor about getting experience outside of their research and on how to source their own experience opportunities.

This workshop is likely to be of interest to PGRs who want further insights into seeking experience outside of academia, recognising skills employers look for, and learning how to develop their skillset.
