PGT LinkedIn Workshop and Professional Networking

LinkedIn can be a brilliant tool for your future career, helping you to network with people in the field you aspire to join, be visible to recruiters, and market yourself and your unique skillset. But what's the best way to use it?

Whether you're yet to make a profile or looking to polish yours up, this workshop will help you get the most out of LinkedIn. We'll introduce you to the platform, help you perfect your profile with by crafting an attention-grabbing 'About' section and a professional headshot, and give you a chance to practise your networking skills.

The event will be scheduled as follows, and you are welcome to join us for the full three hours or just the parts that interest you:

10:00 - 10:30: Our friends from the Careers Network will lead a workshop explaining how you can best create an 'About' section on your LinkedIn profile.

10:30 - 11:30: The Careers Network team will provide students with individual support with using LinkedIn.

11:30 - 13:00: There will be a professional networking session in which you can chat with your fellow PGTs, have a hot drink on the University Graduate School, and get a LinkedIn profile picture taken by a photographer!

Please bring:

• A laptop or tablet,
• Something to make notes with,
• And if you're looking to get a new profile pic, come dressed in business attire for the photography portion of the event!
