Join us for the official launch of Enquiring Minds: An interactive, problem-solving exhibition!

Enquiring Minds is an exciting new initiative from the University Graduate School. The exhibition brings postgraduate research to life for all ages. Solve problems, have fun, and learn about new discoveries at the cutting edge of research!

Be the first to explore our innovative exhibits: join us between 2-4pm in the foyer of the Alan Walters Building (R29 on the campus map). Coffee, tea, and cake will be provided.

Subjects represented include:

  • invasive insects in Antarctica
  • the meaning of life
  • Western influences on 1920s Japanese fashion
  • traditional knowledge of nature and environmental change
  • heart rate investigations
  • child labourers in 19th-century coal mining
  • how words are formed
  • thinking like a medical engineer
  • natural materials and their uses
  • the plight of minority languages
  • how to be a researcher
  • navigating public space as a disabled person
  • the structure of the Milky Way
