Join us to celebrate LGBTQ+ history month and Valentine's Day with a screening of Portrait of a Lady on Fire! Set in 18th century France but released in 2019, Céline Sciamma's elegant period piece brings a contemporary realism to the classic trope of star-crossed lovers that is sure to tug on your heart strings. If you're into slow burn movies, and possibly prepared to shed a few tears, this one's for you!

UGS Scholars Katrina and John will be running this event and pizza, popcorn, and drinks will be provided (but BYO tissues). RSVP now to secure your spot!

Please note: this film will be shown in French with English subtitles.

Location: Westmere, next to Winterbourne House on Edgbaston Park Road (G15 on the campus map). You can find full accessibility information for the building here.

Please note: This is an alcohol free event

This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate researchers (PGR).

PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.
