Join us for Film Club in light of International Women's Day led by UGS Scholars Katrina and Charity.
PGRs will be coming together to watch Erin Brockovich based on a true story played by Julia Roberts. Erin Brockovich-Ellis is an unemployed single mother, desperate to find a job. Whilst making a car accident claim against a doctor, she manages to convince her lawyer to take her on as his legal assistant. Due to her clothes and earthy manners, she is not taken seriously but that soon changes when she begins to investigate a suspicious real estate case involving the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. As she digs deeper, Erin finds herself in a series of events that would lead her law firm to be in one of the biggest class action lawsuits in American history against a multi-billion-dollar corporation.
Film club is a space for cosy relaxation, fun and discussion. We'll also have pizza, blankets and comfy beanbags, snacks, and soft drinks!
