Staying around on campus over the Easter break? Join the UGS PGT Ambassadors for this monthly film night: in April, we're continuing our celebrations of women's history by showcasing 'Hidden Figures'!
Based on a true story, 'Hidden Figures' depicts Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson - brilliant African-American women working at NASA during the 'Space Race' in the 1960s. Starring famous American actresses Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe, the film is both entertaining and educational.
Please note the film is rated PG. More information on U.K. film ratings and what they mean can be found here. The film contains some strong language and thematic elements of racism and discrimination.
We'll have some popcorn and sweets, as well as some fizzy drinks. See you there!
Come along to G12 University House (O3 on the Campus Map) at 6pm: meet new people, and relax with a film, popcorn and snacks!
This PGT event welcomes students starting the following postgraduate courses in 2021-22: MA, MSc, MBA, MEd, LLM, MPH, Maths SKE, MPA, PG Affiliate, PG Certificate, PG Dip Ed, PG Diploma, and PGCE. It is open to students at the University of Birmingham only.
