PGR: Westmere Chinese New Year Party

Happy Chinese New Year! Come get in the festive spirit with a postgraduate researcher Chinese New Year party at Westmere House, ran by our PGR Westmere Scholars.

We'll have some drinks and snacks (vegan friendly option available!) and a few festive activities. Come by yourself to meet new friends, or arrange a get together with your research network. All PGRs from any College are welcome to join us but we do ask that you register in advance.

We'll start the festivities at 3pm and be celebrating until 5.30pm GMT.

Westmere is located next to Winterbourne House on Edgbaston Park Road (G15 on the campus map). If you have any concerns about access, please get in touch to discuss.

Covid-19

Please be reassured that we have planned our capacity carefully, to allow plenty of space between attendees at Westmere House.

In line with government guidance published on 4th January, we ask that face coverings are worn throughout the event, unless you are exempt or whilst eating and drinking. Any staff or students who are exempt are welcome to collect a sunflower lanyard from the Aston Webb student hub. Disposable face coverings will be available if you forget to bring one.

We also ask all attendees to take a lateral flow test before attending the event and request you not to attend if you are feeling unwell, have any symptoms or a positive lateral flow result. You can find out where test kits are available from the University here: Asymptomatic home test collection.

We will update this information if guidance changes and also provide more detailed information to attendees ahead of the event.
