PhD Chat: Overcoming Writer's Block (In-Person)
- Location
- Westmere House - Seminar Room
- Dates
- Monday 6 November 2023 (11:00-12:30)
Being a PhD researcher is a hugely rewarding journey in many ways, but can also involve challenges. Any questions or concerns you have will be shared by others, so talking to fellow researchers and members of staff can help you on your PhD journey.
At PhD Chat you can meet other PGRs, ask questions and learn more about support that is available, whilst also sharing your own experiences and helping others. Each session involves an introduction to a specific topic related to pursuing a PhD, followed by informal group discussion and experience sharing.
This PhD Chat is especially around the challenges of writing such as Writer's Block, as part of Academic Writing Month throughout November. It is led by our UGS Scholars (PGR) Zainab, Gilanis and Victor.
Join PhD Chat where you can connect with fellow researchers, share your writing challenges with your peers, hear what's worked for them and discover effective strategies to overcome writer's block.
Don't let writer's block hold you back on your research journey. Come over for a cup of tea and be a part of the PhD chat community, and together, we'll unlock the words within you!
Westmere is located next to Winterbourne House on Edgbaston Park Road (G15 on the campus map).
Please note: This is an alcohol free event
