Are you a Masters student considering a PhD, but unsure of what it involves, how to apply or simply where to start?
Join the UGS PGT Ambassadors at Westmere House to ask any PhD related questions you may have to a panel of current PhD students and Westmere Scholars.
We understand that the decision to do a PhD is a big commitment and can feel overwhelming. Our event will break down how our panel decided if a PhD was right for them, how they went about finding funding and potential supervisors, how they found PhD studentships, as well as their personal experiences of doing a PhD. We will then have a Q&A session to ask any questions that you may have, whether that be interview tips or what a typical day in the life is.
Westmere House is UoB's PGR hub on campus, so you'll also have a chance to see where PhD students spend their days!
Following the talks, there will be a networking session for the chance to meet other PGT students and Westmere Scholars. We will also have sandwiches, snacks and wine to make this the perfect networking session for you. See you there!
This event is designed for PGT students studying any of the following postgraduate courses in 2021-22: MA, MSc, MBA, MEd, LLM, MPH, Maths SKE, MPA, PG Affiliate, PG Certificate, PG Dip Ed, PG Diploma, and PGCE.
