Postgraduate Activity Fund: Application Workshop (Online)

Location
Online
Dates
Friday 12 January 2024 (11:00-12:00)
Are you a postgraduate who'd like to run your own events? Want funding and support to make them happen?

The PG-led Activities fund supports postgraduates wanting to organise and deliver postgraduate events. It offers financial support up to £300 for event costs, as well as event guidance from the The University Graduate School team.

By using the fund, postgraduate students can also gain transferable skills and experience in planning, organising and implementing events. Proposed activities can include academic seminars, social events, hobby groups, and more - if it brings the postgraduate community together, we want to hear about it!

This workshop is designed to support you in making an application to the fund: what do we fund, and what should you include in your application? How do you find out more about possible venues, or how to calculate budget? We'll cover all this more, as well as any questions you have.

Postgraduate students can apply for PG-led activity funding to support PG community events taking place before the end of July 2024. Your event can be for PGRs, PGT or both.

A recording of this session will be made available afterwards: register as normal to receive it.

This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate taught students (PGTs) and postgraduate researchers (PGRs).

PGT programmes include: MA, MSc, MBA, MEd, LLM, MPH, Maths SKE, MPA, PG Affiliate, PG Certificate, PG Dip Ed, PG Diploma, and PGCE.

PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.
