November’s UGS Talks is part of Disability History Month, which takes place 16 November – 16 December 2023. We welcome you to join us on November 17, 2023 to discover how academics and postgraduates are making a difference in Disability and research at the University of Birmingham. It’s the responsibility of all of us to better understand and support Disabled and/or neurodivergent people in an inclusive postgraduate community, and UGS Talks explores current research into Disability and neurodiversity, inclusive research design, and being a Disabled and/or neurodivergent postgraduate.

Keep an eye on this page for the full announcement of our fantastic speakers! We'll be joined by expert academics and a postgraduate panel, all discussing the ways in which they are making a difference in Disability and research, plus time for your questions.

To make this event as accessible as possible, we are inviting you all to attend remotely. Join us online on Friday November 17, 13:00 – 14:00 GMT.

Whether you are campus-based or a distance learner, part-time or full-time, this event has been designed to be open to all. Register now to secure your place! You'll then receive instructions on how to join us online and submit your questions, and share your own experiences with the postgraduate community.
