Borrowing library books over the Christmas vacation

Anything you have on loan will still renew automatically over the Christmas vacation, as long as no one requests your book. If someone does request a book you have on loan, you’ll need to return it by the due date, so keep an eye on your University email, and your library account, by logging into FindIt@Bham. If you post an item back to us, please make sure you get proof of postage.

Please be considerate and only request a book if you will be able to collect it. You’ll still need to collect it within 48 hours (except over the University closed period), but if you need longer, please contact the library it’s being held at. In some cases, we may be able to give you longer to collect it.

Nothing will be due back over the University closed period, between Saturday 21 December and Wednesday 1 January inclusive.

• 48-hour loans issued on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 December will be due back on Thursday 2 January.
