UoB Xtra Bread-Baking Masterclass with Pastor Obi
As part of UoB Xtra, our Seventh-day Adventist Chaplain, Pastor Obi, held two bread-baking sessions. The first took place in the marquee at the Green Heart and saw an amazing turnout, despite the wind! People from different backgrounds, faiths, and beliefs came together to bake bread, a simple activity that reflected the inclusive spirit of Multifaith Chaplaincy. Watching students connect reminded me that it’s the people who make the Multifaith Chaplaincy atmosphere so unique and welcoming.
The second session was held in our Oasis Lounge and attracted an even higher turnout. For 100% of participants, it was their very first visit to the Multifaith Chaplaincy. Full of laughter, great conversations, and genuine curiosity, it was one of the highlights of the year. Participants took home their own freshly baked bread, and many even took photos with Pastor Obi to mark the occasion.
We look forward to doing it all again during Welcome Week!
