This website is run by the University of Birmingham. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, this means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts utilising an external accessibility tool
  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the platform using just a keyboard
  • listen to most of the platform using a screen reader (including the most recent versions NVDA)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

If you are unable to record your attendance at your session due to accessibility issues, please contact your School Professional Services Team and they will record your attendance in the system for you.

When we publish new content we’ll make sure information structures meet accessibility standards.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We aim to fix issues identified in our latest accessibility test by the end of June 2022. This date is subject to change; however, we will continue to review and re-test accessibility when any changes to WCAG or this service are released.

The accessibility roadmap provided by our supplier, Collabco (CIS Connect) shows when and how they plan to improve accessibility on their platform.
