It's already Week 2 of UoB Xtra!
Did you join us on campus for Week 1? If you missed out, don’t worry- there’s still a lot on offer this week (Monday 16 June – Friday 20 June) alongside your Summer Term timetabled activity!
If you’re looking to meet new people, join in with fun activities on campus, learn something new, or just need a space to chill on campus, we’ve got you covered. There’s something for everyone, and the best thing – most of the events and activities are free!

Ten Talks
Want to have your big questions answered? Now is your opportunity to learn from the professionals, with our free TED-style talks from leading Birmingham academics. You’ll find sessions on:

Looking for a chill space to meet new people and have some fun outside? We’ve got you covered- come and hang out on campus for Pause’s block party. Get ready for an old-school sports day packed full of games, freebies, a lucky dip and an egg and spoon race!

Think you need to to level up your money management? Join the Funding, Graduation and Awards Team for this free webinar and learn how you can make the most of your finances as a uni student. Register your place.

Want to stand out and get hired? Join Worklink and your Guild of Students and learn how to write stronger applications, understand what real employers are looking for and make the most of AI tools. You'll also be treated to a free lunch- book your spot now!
Wednesday 19 June, 7pm-12.30am
Are you ready for the party of the year? Grab your friends and end the year in style with live music, fairground rides, karaoke tent, delicious street food and an exclusive club night at your Guild of Students. See you on the dance floor! Note: this is a ticketed event.

Get involved with UoB’s first ever giving day! A 36-hour around-the-clock event to fund life changing initiatives, this is your chance to come together with your global community and play a part in this historic event by helping to raise awareness and funds for UoB’s vital causes.

Are you a student innovator? We’d love for you to join us at the first ever Careers Network Festival of Innovation, an exciting celebration of innovation at UoB. Don’t miss this opportunity to create new connections and build your network whilst enjoying a busy schedule of keynote speakers, digital exhibitions and presentations.

Join the festivities as we celebrate UoB’s 125th anniversary! The Come to Campus Community Festival is hosting a fantastic lineup of free events and family-friendly activities from football games with Birmingham City Football Club to sensory storytelling with local artists. Did you manage to grab tickets for this sold-out event? Experience the thrill of live music with a special Brummie twist! From the music of ELO to Elgar, pop to rock, classical to folk and everything in between, celebrate the music of Birmingham and its people. Get ready to dance and sing the night away whilst celebrating UoB’s 125th anniversary in style- don't forget to tag us on socials!
