Celebrating Black History Month 2021: What are you 'Proud To Be'?

Welcome to Black History Month from EDI Student Ambassador, Subomi Ige

October marks Black History Month in the UK – a chance to celebrate and recognise the history, contributions and achievements that black and brown people have made to our society and culture. This year’s theme is 'Proud To Be' and we are ‘Proud To Be’ bringing you a range of events and activities throughout the month of October to support and celebrate Black History Month.

Key events include:

Black students talk: Depression and low mood on Thursday 7 October 2021 (5-7pm) at 4th floor main library.
Let's talk about why we should talk about race on Wednesday 13 October 2021 (4-5pm) on Zoom.
Black History Month quiz on Thursday 21 October 2021 (1-2pm) on Zoom.
BHM 2021 - Virtual Yoga and Meditation on Friday 29 October 2021 (12:10-12:55pm) on Zoom.
