My Details

Keeping your personal information up to date 

Once you have completed Online Registration and started your studies at UoBD, you can use My Details to view and update your information. 

My Details is a self-service tool that you can access in two ways: 

It is your responsibility to keep your personal details up to date. If we don't have accurate details for you, the University will not be able to communicate important information to you.  

How do I update my address?My home / term time address has changed, how do I update it?My phone number has changed, how do I update it?I need to update my emergency contact details, how do I do this?How do I add or update my disability information on My Details?How do I access My Details?

Email and collaboration

Forgotten password

  • IT Services recommend a number of password manager apps which allow you to manage yrou passwords.
  • You can reset a forgotten password or unlock your account yourself online using Self-Service Password Reset.  You can find more information about how to use the service here.
  • IT Service Portal provides support for what to do if you have forgotten your username or want to reset your password by phone.

Other student systems 

  • Dubai Library Services are part of Academic Services not IT Services. IT Services manages the digital library infrastructure.

Keeping secure and protected

  • Security/viruses - For help and advice go to IT Service Desk. Select the Knowledge Base from the left hand menu and search on ‘security’ or ‘virus’.
  • Back IT up - You should ideally back up everything if you have the disk space. If not, then you should at least back up everything you have created or purchased. More information available from Knowledge Base article KB12381
