The College of Life and Environmental Sciences is pleased to announce details the LES Student Hub, an exciting project to enhance student experience by introducing a one stop shop for taught student administration.
The LES Student Hub will be located on the first floor of the Old Gym (Y1 on the campus map) and will be the new home for taught student administration, wellbeing Services and Student Engagement Project Officers. This will facilitate College services for taught students to be brought together, and will enhance the level of support offered to students.
The Student Hub will deliver the following benefits to students:
- Uninterrupted services throughout the day
- An increased level of staff, who will be on hand to deal with student queries
- Designated confidential welfare consulting rooms
- A consistent cross-College support structure
- A new state-of-the-art environment
The LES Student Hub will complement the existing social and study spaces within the Schools, such as the Link, Undercroft and SportExR atrium. Building work on the Old Gym is well underway, with an anticipated move into the Hub, during academic year 2018/19.
There will still be student support in Schools, with clear signage and guidance provided throughout the interim period.
More information about the project, including opportunities, and how to get involved and share your thoughts, will circulated during the Autumn term. You can also see our Frequently Asked Questions page and view our image gallery.
