Where is the new LES Hub?
The new LES Hub will be in the first floor of the Old Gym right in the centre of campus.
What are the benefits of the new space?
Right in the centre of campus the LES Hub will provide a one-stop-shop for all programme administration, welfare and student engagement matters.
Who else is in the Old Gym?
Our new LES space will be sandwiched between teaching and study space on the ground floor and the innovative teaching support of HEFi
When is the move happening?
The LES Hub will be fully functional from January 2019 to coincide with the start of semester two of the 2018/19 academic session.
Why is the move happening?
It will help us improve the consistency and speed of both marks and feedback and simplify giving advice to students.
Will School-specific/School-based processes be affected?
Only the admin is moving; students social space (the Link, the Undercroft and the Atrium) will remain where students will still socialise and interact with staff informally.
Where will I meet my tutor and other academic staff?
You will still meet your tutor, module lecturers and have your seminars and some lectures in your school.
What will happen to former School offices?
The former programme administration offices will be used to accommodate teaching and research activity.
How can I share my feedback on the process/move?
Students are welcome to share any feedback on the LES Student Hub via SSCs, in their interactions with the SEPOs and via the following email address: lesstudenthub.enquiries@contacts.bham.ac.uk
