Research Grant Applications

The Research Development Team of the Research and Knowledge Transfer Office provides strategic input and support for the identification of funding opportunities, preparing research funding applications (including costing and pricing), approvals, implementation and management processes.

The "Intention to Submit" document is an obligatory requirement for submitting a research grant. Further information along with a link to the form can be found here.

A completed and approved 'pink form' is required before every application is submitted within the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. Failure to complete a pink form in time may result in delays in submitting your application and will certainly delay the setup of award if the application is successful.

To obtain a salary costing for your grant application you should complete a costing request form and send your request to mdscosting@contacts.bham.ac.uk.

Research Grant Approvals (also known as the Pink Form process)

A completed and approved pink form is required before every application is submitted within the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. Failure to complete a pink form in time may result in delays in submitting your application and will certainly delay the setup of award if the application is successful.

The electronic form can be accessed via the Intramed which requires you to logon using your University credentials. Further instructions can be found at: Instructions for completing an online pink form.

N.B. Any deletions or issues with pink forms need to go through the EdTech team (edtechteam@bham.ac.uk). They are able to delete any 'in progress' which are no longer required.
