On May 16th I presented at the British American Business Council (BABC) at the ICC in a session on the ‘Future of Higher Education’ moderated by the BBC’s Justin Webb. This explored the evolving role of University engagement with business in terms of building student capabilities and promoting competitiveness. http://www.babc2013.com/
On May 21st, as a member of the ABS ‘Innovation Task Force’, I Chaired a session on ‘Building a Global Presence’ following presentations by David Willetts, Lord Heseltine and Lord Young to mark the launch of the ABS Report: “The Role of UK Business Schools in Driving Innovation in the Domestic Economy”. This event was an important indication of the growing expectations placed on Business Schools to help bridge the gap between the capabilities and expertise in UK Universities and the broader challenges facing UK business, the economy and society. http://www.associationofbusinessschools.org/
