Leavers and starters

David Perman retires from the Business School in June. David has worked at the University for over 40 years and has performed a wide variety of roles during this time. Most recently, he has acted as Director of the MSc IB programme and has supported its strong growth and success. He has been a highly valued member of the Business School and will be sorely missed by friends and colleagues

The Accreditations and Quality team have an intern working with them on a variety of projects over the Summer. Erica Wycherley started on 30th June and as one of our own MSc HRM students she’ll have a great insight into the student experience.

The School Hub are welcoming two new School Hub Assistants, Julie Shires and Gemma Bradley, who will be starting on 1st July.

Naomi Baddhan has rejoined the MBA team following her maternity leave

Gabriella Agatiello joins us on 1st July as External Partnerships Manager

Emma Ward will be joining us in September as head of External Relations. Here is Emma's brief bio:

  • I began my career in automotive and engineering marketing before moving to education ten years ago where I have managed a range of external facing activities to include: marketing, recruitment, admissions and business development. Most recently I have held the post of Marketing and Recruitment Manager at De Montfort University in Leicester, where I have had the pleasure to manage a broad range of initiatives during my time with the institution.

Passionate about the role in which Higher Education plays within the UK economy and opportunities provided to students today I find working in education very rewarding, there are not many jobs where you can work as part of a team to help hundreds of people each year realise their ambitions!

Furthermore I am a Chartered Marketer with a seat on the regional branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), whilst also being an active member of the CIM mentoring scheme.

I am looking forward to joining the team at Birmingham Business School in the autumn and working together to realise the schools’ objectives.
