BUAFTAS 2017

We’re pleased to announce a number of Professional Services colleagues in the School have been nominated for BUAFTAs. Some of these are:

• ‘Birmingham Professional of the Year’ – Miriam Nicholson
• ‘Exceptional Customer Service’ – Adrian Leech, Sophie Sinclair
• ‘Unsung Hero of the Year’ – Trudy Smith, Rebecca Shales
• ‘Excellent Support for Education’ – The MSc Programmes Team

There will be an all Professional Services staff Birmingham Professional/BUAFTAs event on 20 December, 11:00 – 12:30 in the Great Hall. This is open to all Professional Services colleagues. The event will celebrate all long-listed nominees and announce the BUAFTA shortlist for each category, as well as featuring a special 10-year anniversary video, an address from the Registrar and some festive refreshments! Additionally, BUAFTAs raffle tickets will be for sale in support of this year’s charity - miscarriage research by the University of Birmingham at the Tommy’s National Centre - with some great prizes on offer; including an extra day of annual leave, a cash prize, a £750 holiday voucher and many more. There will be BUAFTA’s Champions on-hand to collect any donations people wish to give to the charity.
