2017 CoSS Birmingham Professional Sessions

We are pleased to inform you that there will be some interesting CoSS Birmingham Professional sessions starting in January 2017.

Confirmed dates will be sent out to all Professional Services staff across the College shortly regarding a lunchtime mindfulness course (running over four weeks), as well as workshops on relaxation & stress management, the benefits of coaching and mentoring, adapting to change, and civic engagement.

This programme is being led by the School’s Sophie Sinclair, supported ably by Kelly Kealy (CoSS) and Melanie Hardy (Education). Should you have any suggestions for future activities you would like to see delivered to benefit Professional Services staff in CoSS, they would love to hear from you.

As many of you are aware the Birmingham Professional is about pursuing excellence in the services provided by Professional Services colleagues across the University; ‘taking pride in our work, taking personal responsibility for our development, and working well with others.’ It helps staff across Professional Services to connect, offers opportunities for personal development and enhancement of staff well-being, and supports colleagues in performing to the highest level in their role.

You can read more about the Birmingham Professional and the courses they have available across the University on the Birmingham Professional pages of the staff intranet.

We’ll also provide full updates, and reviews, regarding activities in future editions of the newsletter.
