Responsible Business Week

300x600 SKYSCRAPER

Taking place from 24 - 28 April, Responsible Business Week is an annual campaign designed to help celebrate the brighter side of business and provide a platform to debate and discuss how businesses can respond to the most pressing social and environmental issues.

At Birmingham Business School we are keen to put ethical business practices at the heart of the agenda, and will be promoting Responsible Business Week through a variety of activities:

  • A series of blogs released on the Business School blog site from BBS faculty on subjects ranging from the film industry, to sustainable entrepreneurship, to social marketing and shared parental leave.
  • Professor Ian Thomson's inaugural lecture on 26 April entitled 'Sustainable development: Accounting and the citizen.'
  • A video commentary series by students from the Business School and other schools around CoSS offering their own perspectives on responsible business.
  • Key facts about responsible business posted on social media throughout the week, as well as interactive polls on Twitter and Facebook.

We encourage you to engage with these activities and help to raise the profile of responsible business.
