Internal Communications

Wikipedia, the font of all knowledge on the internet describes internal communications as:
'the function responsible for effective communication among participants within an organisation'.

Although that is certainly accurate it doesn't really sound that interesting or, perhaps, capture everything that we do. We prefer this description:
'the people who try their hardest to give you the information you need and the information you want, at the time you need it, and in a way that suits you'.

Campuswide internal communications are managed by the central Internal Communications team, within External Relations. As well as the intranet, they manage University-wide channels:

The Internal Communications team works with colleagues across campus to help develop and support communications strategies and plans for university projects. If you are working on a project and want to get the message out across campus, contact the team for help. Or you may want help promoting news or events. Get in touch.
