Further Information

Who do I contact to report a fault, order staples or request an engineer?

Staff should call Konica Minolta on 0871 574 7200 (option 2 for consumables, option 3 for hardware issues) and quote the equipment number listed on the blue label on the front of device.

KM will be notified automatically when replacement toner is required and will send it to the building delivery address. This notification is sent when you replace a toner, so there should always be a spare available within the building. Local users are responsible for replacing toners in the MFDs. Please use the attached toner codes (PDF - 240kb) to check which toner should be used for each device.

If you are unable to dial 0871 numbers from your work landline phone, then you should request permission from the Telecoms team via the University’s IT Servicedesk.

How do I recycle used toners?

Used toners should be recycled via Konica Minolta’s recycling partner EOS Solutions South. EOS provide flat packed boxes (dimensions 400mm x 400mm x 700mm) to collate any waste from the machines. When full; securely tape the box and contact collections@eos-it.co.uk to arrange collection within two working days.

Change Requests

To allow MFDs to be monitored and toners automatically delivered, the Managed Print Service relies on a strict systems update process. To this end, only trained (approved local requesters), nominated for each area, are authorised to submit changes to the Service (i.e. additional device required, change of location required, change of use or change of toner delivery information). College Approvers can advise on who is the Local Requester for your building/department.

The following attached forms should be submitted by a Local Requester, after acknowledging space requirement for each model in case of move/additional device required:

Device Move Request Form (PDF - 306kb)

Additional Device Request Form (PDF - 298kb)

Managed Print Service Models (PDF 395kb) - for reference

Staff Printing and Print Management Policy - for reference

Please note that under no circumstances should the on-site engineer be instructed by UoB Staff to move a device, as instructions to do so need to come from Konica Minolta by following the above process (and so that required systems updates can take place).
