Welcome to the College Wellbeing Team, based in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences (LES). We are here to support Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught, and Postgraduate Research students.
The College Wellbeing team are a confidential, non-judgemental, and inclusive service for you to access throughout the duration of your studies. You can access your College Wellbeing Service in person, by telephone and through online methods of communication such as Zoom.
How can we support you?
- Emotional support – we offer appointments to discuss challenges you may be experiencing to your physical or mental wellbeing and receive tailored and sensitive signposting to specialist services both internal and external to UoB.
- Practical support – your Wellbeing team can provide information and advice on University processes such as Extenuating Circumstances, Extensions and Leave of Absence, as well on topics such as time management, low level stress awareness, and mindfulness etc.
- Reasonable Adjustments - Your Wellbeing Service is also the first point of contact for students who have a Reasonable Adjustment Plan and we can also provide information about applying for one.
Wellbeing Officers will always aim to encourage and empower you to engage with your studies and the guidance will be reflective of that approach.
