Wellbeing Wednesday – 4 February 2026

This Thursday 5 February is Time to Talk Day, the UK’s biggest mental health conversation, helping you to brave the big talk, listen, and challenge stigma. Get started by:

  • Talking about your own mental health
  • Checking in with someone you’re worried about

Talking about your mental health

Talking openly and honestly about how you’re feeling can be the first step towards better mental health. It can be hard to open up, but talking can help relieve some pressure and help you start on the road to wellness.

We’re always here to listen to you. Explore our Time to Talk? pages for a full list of the support available to you.

Talking to someone you’re worried about

Talking to friends or family about their mental health can feel difficult, and you may not know what to , say but just checking in and listening can make a real difference.

If someone you know needs urgent mental health support, your local NHS Urgent Mental Health helpline can offer 24-hour advice.
