Wellbeing Wednesday - 25 March 2026
The Spring vacation period is just around the corner, but there’s still plenty of support available. This week we’re looking at:
- Deferring your exams
- Support over the Spring Vacation period
- Unwind at Birmingham’s beautiful parks
Deferring your exams
Your May exam timetable will be released on Wednesday 25 March via the MyUoB app.
If you want to defer any exams to the August Supplementary period, please submit a deferral request by Tuesday 14 April 5pm (by completing an Extenuating Circumstance form).
You can defer an examination if you:
- Have extenuating circumstances (evidence required)
- Have a Reasonable Adjustment Plan that includes exam deferrals (no evidence needed)
You can find your School’s EC form on our Academic Support page.
Support over the Spring vacation period
Teaching finishes on Friday 27 March, we hope you enjoy the rest and have a relaxing break. We’re still here to support you if you need us, the LES Wellbeing team will still be available throughout the vacation period (except the University closed dates Friday 3 - Wednesday 8 April inclusive).
Some facilities will be running on reduced opening hours over the break, you can check out the library’s opening hours here.
Birmingham’s beautiful parks
Unwind in nature and recharge after a busy semester, exploring the green spaces on campus and beyond. Winterbourne Gardens is free when you show your student card, offering beautiful gardens, a house, and a delicious café.
Nearby, Cannon Hill Park is easy to reach on foot or by bike and features the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Centre. Search for other Birmingham parks, sports facilities, or playgrounds via the council’s website.
