Supplementary exam period timetable release
The exam dates and timetable for the Supplementary exam period will be released today, Wednesday 29 July. You can access your examination timetable via the MyUoB app.
You may also have exams that have been scheduled by your School. They’ll be in touch with details regarding when and where these will take place.
In the meantime, if you have any urgent queries about School/department scheduled exams please contact your School Education Support Office directly.
Temporary exam adjustments
If you have a temporary injury or illness (e.g. a break or sprain) and need support for the upcoming Supplementary Exams, you may be eligible for temporary exam adjustments.
To apply, complete the College Temporary Adjustments Request Form. You’ll need to provide medical evidence in support of your request for your Wellbeing Officer to review.
Please note: We need at least 5 working days to arrange adjustments. If there isn't enough time before your exam, please consider submitting an Extenuating Circumstances request to defer your exam instead.
Deferring your exams
A deferral means you can take your exam at the next available opportunity. Deferral requests must be submitted within 10 working days of your exam timetable release, no later than Wednesday 12 August 5pm.
You can defer an examination if you:
- have extenuating circumstances that impact your ability to complete your assessments. You will need to submit evidence to support your request.
- have a Reasonable Adjustment Plan that has, as an adjustment, the ability to defer examinations. You do not need to submit evidence.
To submit your exam deferral request, please find the relevant extenuating circumstances request form for your School on our Academic Support page.
Please note: Deferring your exam could impact your progression into the next academic year if you have not achieved the required number of credits to proceed. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact your Year Tutor or Senior Tutor as soon as possible.
