Academic Skills Centre Support for all Birmingham Scholars

At the Academic Skills Centre (ASC) we’re here to support you to develop your academic and digital skills, such as writing, research, note-taking, digital, presentation, referencing skills and more. Our drop-in Maths Support Centre also provides maths and statistics support to students from all subject areas.

What services do the ASC offer?

• You can attend our workshops
• Book a confidential 1:1 appointment for advice with your study skills and upcoming assignments or assessments
• Drop in at the Maths Support Centre
• For those of you in your 1^st year, gain support and advice from higher year Scholars through our Peer Assisted Study Scheme. 
• You can also explore our wide range of online guidance, including resources to help you make the transition to university, and between years.
